Cognizant is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support core banking systems (Deposits, Loans, Customer & Account Management, General Ledger, Tax). Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years in mainframe application development using COBOL, JCL, VSAM and batch processing.
- Experience with core banking modules including Deposits, Loans, Customer & Account Management, General Ledger and Tax.
- Experience with mainframe tools such as Endevor, Xpediter, and Easytrieve.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain mainframe applications supporting core banking operations.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into mainframe solutions.
- Develop and support batch processing jobs using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and other mainframe technologies.
- Perform code debugging, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and production support.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, testers, and stakeholders to implement system enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, SIT/UAT support, and deployment activities.
