Cognizant is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support and enhance core banking systems in a remote-flexible role open to the United States. The position emphasizes COBOL-based mainframe environments, batch processing, and banking-domain expertise across Deposits, Loans, Customer/Account Management, General Ledger, and Tax systems.

Qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on mainframe application development experience.
- Strong COBOL/JCL/VSAM and batch processing knowledge.
- Experience with core banking modules (Deposits, Loans, GL, Tax).
- Familiarity with mainframe tools like Endevor, Xpediter, Easytrieve.
- Knowledge of CICS and IMS preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain mainframe applications for core banking operations.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into mainframe solutions.
- Develop and support batch jobs using COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and related tools.
- Perform debugging, defect resolution, and production support activities.
- Collaborate with analysts, architects, testers, and stakeholders on enhancements.
