Job summary

Copeland is seeking a highly skilled Controls Trainer to deliver technical training on our controls portfolio to customers, contractors, wholesalers, end users, OEMs, and team members across the commercial refrigeration industry.

You will translate complex controls concepts into practical, hands-on learning that enables technicians to install, program, operate, and troubleshoot our controls with confidence. This fully remote role requires strong presentation skills and travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration controls in a field role or equivalent.
• 2+ years CO2 system experience with a focus on controls and troubleshooting.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills for varied audiences.
• Working knowledge of controls programming, wiring diagrams, and system troubleshooting.
• Ability to travel up to 80% for deployments and training.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and multimedia training on controls hardware, software, and system architecture.
• Conduct standard and custom courses for customers and OEMs.
• Provide hands-on demonstrations and troubleshooting exercises simulating real-world scenarios.
• Update curricula and training materials to reflect new controls products and firmware.
