Job summary

E Tech Group, a leading engineering and system integration firm, seeks a Controls Engineering Manager to lead a growing team delivering electrical and control system solutions for Life Sciences and other industries. The role is remote with travel and reports to executive management.

You will mentor engineers, design and implement PLC/SCADA networks, manage budgets, and ensure client satisfaction while driving business growth across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in industrial automation / controls integration.
• 3+ years leading a team.
• Must be able to travel up to 30%.
• Knowledge of PLC/SCADA programming in Schneider Electric, AVEVA or Rockwell.

Responsibilities

• Work with Executive Management, Sales, and Marketing to develop a growth plan for the business.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical resources for project delivery.
• Design and implement integrated electrical and control systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, production, and field service staff.
• Oversee project budget and schedule requirements.
• Drive monthly/quarterly/annual P&L for the team.
• Specify and configure hardware components (instrumentation, PLCs, networks, panels).
• Design and configure PLC/SCADA networks and test procedures.
• Meet with key clients to ensure expectations are met and growth opportunities pursued.
