E Tech Group is seeking an Engineering Manager I to lead a growing team of engineers and deliver technical solutions across multiple projects in the Life Sciences, Mission Critical, and Food & Beverage sectors. This remote role supports California and the Midwest with up to 30% travel.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years in industrial automation / controls integration.
• 3+ years managing and leading a team.
• Knowledge of standard engineering practices and procedures.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance, leadership, and quality control for a team of engineers (8-10) across multiple projects.
• Ensure engineers maintain high utilization by managing workload, assignments, and forecasted labor needs.
• Communicate staffing needs and resource risks to leadership.
• Drive program growth with Program leadership, Sales, and Marketing.
• Perform yearly performance evaluations and develop training plans.
• Lead project milestones meetings and design/development reviews.
• Provide on-site technical assistance for quotes, investigations, and installations.
• Develop and execute project plans across all phases from kickoff to commissioning.
