Job summary

Guidebook is seeking a Controller to own accounting operations end to end. This role includes month-end close, AR/AP, payroll, cash management, and reporting, with NetSuite ownership and close collaboration with leadership. You will report to the President with fractional CFO support.

You will drive improvements, establish controls, and operate largely autonomously in a fully remote team based on the East Coast, with occasional company retreats.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience
• Own a close, with reconciliations and controls
• Experience with NetSuite and GAAP

Responsibilities

• Month-end close: journal entries, reconciliations, and close calendar
• AR: invoicing, collections, aging management
• AP and cash: vendor setup, bill runs, payments, cash forecast
• Payroll: processing and payroll GL reconciliation
• Credit cards and expenses: reconcile and enforce policy
• Reporting: monthly package for CPA, variance analysis
• NetSuite: system owner and COA maintenance
• Process: document, improve, and build internal controls
• Budgeting/forecasting: assist management
• Insurance and risk management coordination
