Job summary

Jared is seeking a hands-on Controller to own accounting operations, close, and reporting in a remote-first, sponsor-backed environment. You will lead payroll, AR/AP, reconciliations, and month-end processes, while driving FP&A support and integration of new business lines.

The role emphasizes automation, faster close, and close partnership with senior finance leadership. You will manage one direct report and contribute to board and lender reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting operations background with hands-on controller experience.
• Experience supporting FP&A, forecasting, and board reporting.
• Exposure to acquisition integration and sponsor-backed environments.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting operations including payroll, AR, AP, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Lead the close process focusing on speed, accuracy, and repeatability.
• Maintain clean records for leadership and board reporting, audits, and lender data requests.
• Oversee one direct report in accounting, developing the team.
• Build and improve financial reporting packages for earlier leadership review.
• Support variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and longer-term planning.
• Prepare inputs for board reporting, sponsor-backed reporting, audits, and valuation needs.
• Partner with finance leadership on lender data preparation if needed.
