Job summary

Snap! Mobile, Inc. is seeking a Controller & Director of Accounting to lead the accounting function, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and guide a growing team. You will partner with executives to deliver timely financial insights and strengthen internal controls in a remote, full-time capacity.

The role requires CPA, 8+ years in accounting with at least 3 in leadership, NetSuite and CRM experience, and a track record in SMB environments. Base salary ranges $175k–$190k with a 30% annual bonus.

Qualifications

• CPA license required.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Experience in a small to mid-size organization.
• Experience with commission automation software.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite.
• Salesforce or comparable CRM for sales data reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting functions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Lead the design and continuous improvement of financial workflows, with a focus on reducing month-end close timelines and automating manual data entry processes.
• Coordinate and oversee external audits and tax filings, working closely with auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to optimize the company’s financial position.
• Ensure the accounting team is trained, motivated, and aligned with organizational goals and compliance standards.
• Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and best practices to continuously improve financial processes.
