AccountingDepartment.com is seeking a Senior Controller to manage an assigned team while providing outsourced controllership and strategic advisory services. This role is essential in relieving clients from financial complexities and in driving impactful decisions using financial insights.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, extensive experience, and a motivation for mentoring staff. The position allows for a remote work environment with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 10 years supervisory experience in accounting.
• Experience with businesses in the $5M to $25M market.
• Ability to make quick decisions based on knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor accounting team for assigned clients.
• Manage the month-end closing and issuance of financial reports.
• Partner with client’s leadership on operational and strategic decisions.
• Analyze financial and operational data for meaningful recommendations.

Skills

Adaptive leadership style

Ability to manage multiple clients

Proven expertise in accounting functions

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong experience with NetSuite

High degree of computer literacy

Education

Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance

CPA license

CMA or MBA preferred
