Job summary

RTX is seeking a Contracts Manager with strong contracting experience to operate remotely in the United States. You will independently lead contract negotiations, manage a complex portfolio, and collaborate with program management, finance, legal, and engineering to support proposals, gate reviews, and contract execution.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to navigate both commercial and government environments, and a strategic approach to risk.

Qualifications

• University degree with relevant contract experience, or advanced degree.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, export controls, and contract compliance.
• Proven ability to lead negotiations with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contractual advisor for assigned programs and liaise with customers.
• Review, interpret, negotiate and manage complex contract types.
• Evaluate RFPs for requirements, risks, and IP considerations; draft and negotiate terms.
• Lead negotiations leveraging SME input to mitigate contractual risks.
• Provide strategic guidance on contract strategy and risk posture.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and CUI requirements.
• Work autonomously and mentor junior contract professionals.
• Manage multiple contracting and proposal efforts with competing priorities.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and support issue resolution.
