Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Principal Specialist, Contracts to lead proposals and contract execution for a NAM program. You will partner with Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Finance, and Supply Chain to drive on-time delivery and resolve contractual issues.

This remote role requires US residency, with DoD security clearance capabilities; experience with FAR/DFARS, negotiations, and risk analysis will help shape strategic contracts and protect

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of relevant contract experience.
• Experience with contracts management, program management, business/finance and supply chain processes.
• Experience with FAR/DFARS requirements or similar contracting regimes.
• Experience in negotiations, pricing, and transactional agreements (SOWs, IP/license/teaming).
• Advanced degrees related to business, law, or finance are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Finance, and Supply Chain to manage successful execution of contracts.
• Identify, mitigate, and drive resolution of contractual issues as they arise.
• Ensure negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies.
• Provide guidance on contractual and business issues, rights and obligations, and risk mitigation.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and internal partners.
• Interface with customers for correspondence, contractual changes, and issues.
