Job summary

Post University seeks a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to advise stakeholders on contracts, regulatory matters, and privacy/compliance across on-campus and online programs. This role emphasizes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating diverse agreements in a fully remote setting with limited travel.

The attorney will collaborate with University Counsel and the legal & regulatory team, supporting Title IX, ADA, IP, FERPA, GDPR, and related higher-education laws while guiding international compliance

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
Attaining approved house counsel status in Connecticut is required.
Strong critical thinking and excellent legal analysis skills.
Interest in contract review and key provisions (copyright, data privacy, IT security, indemnification, insurance).
Ability to develop working knowledge of higher education laws and policies.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, revise, and negotiate vendor and technology agreements.
Review outgoing group student communications for regulatory compliance.
Provide legal advice on ethical operations and compliance.
Assist with international compliance for international students.
Support privacy, GLBA, GDPR, NCAA, FERPA, TCPA, Title VI, and marketing compliance as needed.
Perform legal research and develop educational resources on regulatory issues.
