Openforce is seeking a Contractor Payment Specialist to maintain client settlement setups and process accurate, on-time settlements for independent contractors. The role emphasizes data integrity, reconciliation, and timely financial distributions, collaborating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Located in a remote, mostly work-from-home setup with occasional office visits, this hourly position reports to the Contractor Payment Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 3 years related experience or an associate's degree.
• Payroll experience in a fast-paced environment; 1099 and/or W2 payments preferred.
• Experience with Teams, Atlassian, Zendesk, and Monday.com.
• Knowledge of customer service principles.

Responsabilités

• Process accurate, on-time settlements for assigned clients and contractors.
• Own payment accuracy; identify and correct errors promptly.
• Reconcile client accounts, create invoices, and request funding; write-offs as needed.
• Maintain a list of outstanding invoices and collect funds.
• Collaborate with internal teams when funds are delayed and alert impacted contractors.
• Maintain client deduction information and provide reconciliation reports.
• Communicate settlement questions clearly in English with clients.
• Identify and escalate settlement issues promptly to management.
• Respond to Jira and Zendesk tickets within established timeframes.
• Support cross-department requests like debit pulls and insurance opt-outs.
• Partner with Accounting and Client Services to meet client needs.
• Maintain client settlement data in Confluence.
• Follow SOPs and suggest process improvements.
