Job summary

ABB is seeking a Contractor Key Account Manager – West to develop and manage the strategy and relationship with assigned large contractor accounts. The role spans the West Region and is part of ABB Industry, Buildings and Channel (IBC) with cross-functional responsibilities, focusing on growing share of wallet, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Preferred location includes Las Vegas, NV; Phoenix, AZ; Salt Lake City, UT; or Denver, CO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; marketing degree or equivalent.
• 12 years of electrical industry experience, including contractor and distributor work in CA, Pacific Northwest, Mountain and Chicago area.
• Strong understanding of Electrification products and experience quoting projects for contractors.
• Experience in market analysis and business development plans with structured approach.
• Technical background with experience with low/medium voltage electrical equipment preferred.
• Willingness to travel; base location preferably in NV, AZ, UT or CO area.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work for ABB in United States.

Responsibilities

• Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and SoW growth actions.
• Understanding key business drivers and translating them into impacts and opportunities for ABB.
• Participating in development of sales strategies for the account with current and long-term plans.
• Defining sales targets, monitoring competitors’ activity, and ensuring appropriate response strategies.
