Job summary

Siemens Smart Infrastructure seeks a Construction Sales Engineer to support the Boston MA market and surrounding area. Drive project-based revenue growth by building relationships across the construction ecosystem and positioning low- and medium-voltage power distribution solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

You will develop strategic territory and account plans, build a qualified pipeline, and deliver disciplined forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience; HS diploma acceptable only with extensive related experience.
• 5+ years in power distribution sales, engineering or project management preferred.
• Experience managing customer accounts and developing project-based opportunities with electrical contractors or engineers.
• Working knowledge of low- and medium-voltage power distribution products such as switchboards, busway, switchgear, panelboards, MCCs, circuit breakers, safety switches.

Responsibilities

• Grow revenue and market share with accountability for measurable sales results.
• Develop and drive sales plans for target customers and project pursuits.
• Build a qualified project pipeline and maintain accurate opportunity data and forecasts.
• Engage across the full construction lifecycle from design through bid and execution.
• Build trusted relationships with engineers, contractors, owners, developers and distributors.
• Influence basis-of-design and project specifications with technical and commercial guidance.
• Coordinate with internal Siemens teams on opportunity qualification and pursuit.
• Engage distributors to improve visibility and coordinate account actions.
• Acquire new business and expand Siemens solutions within existing accounts.
