Job summary

Siemens seeks a Construction Sales Engineer to drive project-based revenue growth in the Western NC market and surrounding area, building relationships across the construction ecosystem and positioning Siemens power distribution solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

This individual contributor role reports to Regional Sales leadership and requires engaging with engineers, contractors, distributors, and end users, maintaining a robust pipeline, and traveling up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
• 5+ years preferred in power distribution sales, engineering, or project management.
• Experience managing customer accounts and developing project-based sales opportunities with electrical contractors, consulting engineers, or distributors.
• Working knowledge of low- and medium-voltage power distribution products such as switchboards, busway, switchgear, panelboards, MCCs, circuit breakers, safety switches.
• Ability to travel up to 10% based on customer, territory, and business needs.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Grow revenue and market share with accountable, measurable sales results.
• Develop and drive sales plans prioritizing target customers, project pursuits, and competitive opportunities.
• Build a qualified project pipeline and maintain accurate opportunity data, timing, next steps, risks, and forecast updates.
• Engage across the full construction project lifecycle—from early design through bid, award, and execution to identify and advance Siemens solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with consulting engineers, electrical contractors, owners, developers, end users, distributors, and other collaborators who influence project decisions.
