Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Construction Engineer I for a contingent role with potential to transition to a permanent position. The role supports warranty analysis, emerging technologies implementation, field engineering coordination, and pile load testing. It is remote with travel required; location will be discussed in interviews.

The position emphasizes engineering documentation, drawing reviews, RFIs, and collaboration with project teams to maintain schedule and quality across EPC operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Studies, or a closely related technical field (preferred).
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience, with the ability to perform tasks with guidance and grow toward independent execution (Engineer I).
  • EIT certification preferred or willingness to pursue certification.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical plans.
  • Foundational understanding of construction processes, testing practices (pile load testing), and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Warranty forensics: gather field data, document concerns, identify root causes, maintain logs, and coordinate remediation actions.
  • Emerging technologies: support GPS pile driving, drone topo data, and machine-control datasets; develop SOPs.
  • Construction engineering support during operations: manage RFIs, distribute drawings, track approvals, and maintain document control.
  • Pile load testing support: coordinate pre-construction tests, document procedures and results, track data.
  • General engineering: conduct drawings review, site visits, risk identification, and SOP development.
