Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Conflicts Counsel (Lateral Hire Focus) to join our Conflicts Department. The role includes reviewing conflicts, drafting waivers, and coordinating with Client Engagement and Risk Management to ensure ethical compliance.

This position may be filled remotely or in any of our locations. The successful candidate will identify and resolve conflicts of interest, manage lateral clearance, and provide guidance on engagement letters and outside counsel guidelines, with

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and active law license in the U.S. required.
• Two or more years of conflicts-related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Boolean searching skills are a plus.
• Experience with Intapp Open and Intapp Terms strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve conflicts of interest for new and existing matters.
• Draft conflicts waivers and assess engagement letters for conflicts issues.
• Review lateral candidates, OCGs, and engagement guidelines for deviations.
• Maintain records of conflicts resolutions and communicate with partners and staff.
• Provide training and guidance to conflicts analysts and other firm staff.
• Support onboarding and clearance of new hires and lateral partners.
