Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP is seeking a compliance attorney to join the US Compliance team in Denver. The role focuses on reviewing conflict-of-interest checks for prospective lateral hires and resolving conflicts to facilitate hiring.

The role works with a global team, requires supervising two analysts, and includes a rotating on-call schedule. Remote work is possible from states with firm offices; strong coordination across regions is expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in one or more states with Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP offices.
• Experience working as an attorney.
• Thorough knowledge of US conflicts rules.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; experience in a multi-cultural environment.
• Supervisory experience preferred; able to supervise two analysts.

Responsibilities

• Advise partners, attorneys and the Global Compliance Team regarding conflicts of interest, including legal and ethical considerations.
• Collaborate with analysts to ensure workflow and timely production; supervise at least two Analysts.
• Interact with management to resolve conflict issues in new matter intake, lateral hires and related projects.
• Drive conflict issues to full resolution; manage a docket of 15–30 matters.
• Prepare conflict reports for prospective lateral hires with issues and proposed resolutions.
• Support enforcement of Global Practice Standards on stock dealings, sanctions, anti-money laundering, and related policies.
