Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Compensation Analyst for a 6-month contract supporting a leading consumer products organization. Located in Greensboro, NC, this position is open to remote applicants based on the East Coast, with the role primarily onsite and some scheduling flexibility.

The analyst will contribute to compensation administration, market pricing initiatives, and job evaluation projects while partnering with the Total Rewards team to deliver insights, analytics, and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in compensation, total rewards, HR analytics, or a related discipline.
• Experience using compensation survey and benchmarking tools such as PayScale, Mercer MarketPay, Willis Towers Watson, or similar platforms.
• Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities, including Pivot Tables, lookups, formulas, and large dataset analysis.
• Understanding of compensation practices, salary administration, market pricing, and emerging pay trends.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform compensation benchmarking and market analysis using industry salary survey platforms and external compensation data sources
• Support the development, evaluation, and maintenance of pay structures, salary grades, and compensation frameworks
• Review and assess job documentation to ensure accurate alignment within organizational leveling and classification models
• Administer employee equity-related programs, including support for stock purchase plan processes and reporting activities
• Partner with Total Rewards stakeholders to deliver compensation insights, analytics, and recommendations that support long-term business objectives
