Zusammenfassung

Zurich NA is seeking an experienced Commercial Surety Underwriter to join the Surety Team in the Southeast region. The role involves analyzing and underwriting new and renewal business within delegated authority, partnering with brokers, and applying a strong sales execution mindset to write profitable business.

The position may be filled at either Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter level, with the hiring manager assigning the level based on experience and fit.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3+ years in Underwriting or Market Facing, Finance, Accounting, Banking
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6+ years in Claims or Underwriting Support
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice incl. an Associate Degree with 1+ year in Underwriting/Market Facing
• Zurich Certified Apprentice incl. an Associate Degree with 3+ years in Underwriting/Market Facing
• Knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines
• Experience with quotes for new/renewal business
• Experience with Microsoft Office

Aufgaben

• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors to identify growth opportunities.
• Qualify accounts to meet organization appetite and opportunities balance.
• Make agent/broker/customer calls with prepared purpose.
• Negotiate terms and close deals.
• Cross-sell other lines of business to increase product density.
• Participate in Sales Team meetings for assigned brokers/territory.
• Manage target accounts 90–120 days before effective date and update systems.
