Zurich North America is seeking an experienced Commercial Surety Underwriter to analyze and underwrite a book of new and renewal business within the Southeast region. The role supports brokers, uses the Zurich Way underwriting framework, and offers progression to Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter based on experience.

Responsibilities include renewal/new account prospects, detailed opportunity assessments, and leading complex projects.

Qualifications

• Underwriter with 3+ years of underwriting or market-facing experience OR
• 6+ years in claims or underwriting support with appropriate qualifications
• Knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines
• Experience with quotes on new and renewal business and time constraints

Responsabilités

• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors to identify growth opportunities.
• Qualify accounts to match appetite with sound business sense.
• Lead broker/customer calls with prepared purpose and negotiate terms.
• Cross-sell other lines of business to increase product density.
• Update broker/client visits and account status in required systems.
