Job summary

Symetra is hiring a Commercial Mortgage Loan Servicing Manager to lead the servicing operations for its real estate mortgage portfolio. You will drive operational excellence, manage risk, develop the team, and partner across the organization to implement scalable solutions while ensuring exceptional service for clients.

You will oversee loan accounting, payment processing, reporting, and vendor oversight, with a remote-first setup and periodic travel to Bellevue.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible commercial real estate mortgage loan servicing, loan operations, or related experience.
• 2+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching and developing employees.
• Knowledge of commercial loan servicing operations, loan accounting, and operational risk management.
• Experience managing vendors and partnering across business functions.
• Able to travel as needed to support business and team objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing loan servicing team through coaching and talent development.
• Oversee day‑to‑day servicing operations, including loan accounting and payment processing.
• Provide supervision in loan servicing areas such as reporting, system management, and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency through technology.
• Ensure timely and accurate servicing of the portfolio while maintaining service standards.
• Partner with business and technology teams to implement scalable solutions.
• Support audits, regulatory requirements, and risk management activities.
