Job summary

Navigate Power is seeking a Commercial Energy Consultant to build and manage a client book in a remote, 1099, commission-only role. You will access 110+ supplier options, provide pricing guidance, and support deals through to renewal.

Your focus is on commercial/industrial clients needing energy procurement and related solutions. You will prospect, close, and grow opportunities, with earnings tied to performance and no base salary.

Qualifications

• At least two years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record.
• Ability to generate business via prospecting and referrals.
• Consultative selling skills to understand priorities and handle objections.
• Independent, disciplined work in a remote, 1099, commission-only setup.
• Energy consulting or procurement background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Generate your own pipeline through outreach, referrals, partnerships, and existing relationships.
• Reach the right decision-makers including business owners, finance leaders, and facility teams.
• Turn client information into a strategy by reviewing bills, usage, and needs to identify savings.
• Present electricity and natural gas proposals with clear differences, terms, and market context.
• Develop opportunities beyond procurement into solar, EV charging, and storage when appropriate.
• Lead the sale from discovery to proposal and signed agreement, with internal deal support.
• Maintain accurate pipeline records and pursue renewals, referrals, and cross-sell opportunities.
