Job summary

Kemper is seeking a Commercial Casualty Adjuster – Represented in multiple locations, including Alpharetta, GA; Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX; Doral, FL; Lake Mary, FL; McAllen, TX; and remote options (Remote-AZ, Remote-NV). The role involves investigating, evaluating, and negotiating attorney-represented bodily injury and uninsured motorist commercial vehicle claims with complex exposure.

Strong analytical, venue knowledge, and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of three years casualty claim experience in auto insurance.
Proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite products and web-based applications.
Must obtain and maintain state-required licensing, where applicable.
Initiative, sound judgement, and discretion.

Responsibilities

Investigate claims of varying complexity, including bodily injury and policy language.
Develop strategies to resolve coverage, liability, injury, and property damage.
Evaluate documents to determine coverage and make financial decisions within authority.
Negotiate settlements and communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and other parties.
Attend depositions, mediation, and legal proceedings as needed.
Document claim progression and establish bodily injury reserves.
