Job summary

Kemper is seeking a Commercial Casualty Adjuster – Represented in the United States. This role handles investigation, evaluation, and negotiation of attorney-represented bodily injury and uninsured motorist commercial vehicle claims.

You will apply advanced claim handling, venue knowledge, and analytical skills to move claims toward resolution while mentoring staff and collaborating with other departments. The position requires three years of casualty claim experience, strong negotiation

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years casualty claim experience in auto insurance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Must obtain and maintain state licensing where applicable.
• Initiative, sound judgement, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims of varying complexity and apply policy language.
• Develop strategies for coverage, liability, and settlements.
• Review and interpret policy provisions to verify coverage and make financial decisions.
• Negotiate settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys.
• Attend depositions/mediations/arbitrations and other proceedings as needed.
• Document claim progression and set bodily injury reserves.
• Mentor and train staff; collaborate with departments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
