Job summary

Kemper is seeking a Commercial Casualty Adjuster – Represented to investigate, evaluate, and negotiate attorney-represented bodily injury and uninsured motorist commercial vehicle claims with varying degrees of complexity. This role requires advanced claim handling skills for interpreting commercial vehicle policies and regulatory guidelines.

Thorough documentation, strategic settlement planning, and collaboration with multiple departments are essential.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of three years casualty claim experience in auto insurance.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills including MS Office and web-based apps.
• Strong understanding of insurance policies and state laws for auto claims.
• Excellent customer service skills and timely claim resolution.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate and negotiate auto casualty claims with attorney representation.
• Analyze policy language, limits and applicable coverage within authority limits.
• Develop and implement negotiation strategies for settlements with insureds, claimants, and attorneys.
• Attend depositions/mediation/arbitration and document injury-related information.
• Document claim progression and set reserves; mentor staff and collaborate with departments.
