Job summary

Axalta is seeking a Product Specialist for Collision to support the market sales team as a technical resource. The role is fully remote but requires a local presence in the Illinois area for onsite customer visits, with no relocation eligibility.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and 5+ years in the industry. Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 annually, with benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develops, trains and supports distributor personnel to meet collision shop needs, focusing on new products and value-added programs.
• Lead customer installations, train painters, and troubleshoot technical issues across Axalta brands.
• Conduct education events (lunch & learn, WOW sessions, clinics) to improve shop performance and profitability.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and proper use of PPE when engaging with customers.
• Collaborate within the market sales team and contribute ideas at meetings.
• Complete ongoing trainings and certifications for Axalta brands and technologies.
• Use Axalta tools to support key accounts and expand the customer network.
