Job summary

WorkWave is seeking a proactive Collections Specialist to manage our accounts receivable lifecycle, drive timely payment resolution, and partner with our Sales, Billing, and Finance teams to resolve disputes.

The ideal candidate will analyze aging reports, perform reconciliations, and maintain meticulous financial documentation while collaborating across departments to optimize cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in full-cycle collections and accounts receivable.
• Experience with HighRadius, NetSuite, Salesforce or similar ERP/collections platform.
• Strong understanding of aging reports, bad debt management, cash application, account reconciliation, and collections best practices.
• Ability to analyze customer accounts and identify root causes of delinquency or payment discrepancies.
• Strong Excel and reporting skills with ability to analyze large financial data sets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for handling difficult customer conversations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the collections process for customer accounts and proactive outreach on past-due balances.
• Monitor aging reports and work to reduce outstanding AR through timely follow-up and analysis.
• Use HighRadius and internal systems to manage collections activity, communications, payment tracking, disputes, and reconciliations.
• Partner with Billing, Sales, Customer Success, and Finance to resolve customer concerns and billing discrepancies.
• Review and reconcile customer accounts including unapplied payments, credits, disputes, and short payments.
• Support bad debt reduction by identifying and escalating high-risk accounts.
