Job summary

Centric Software is seeking a motivated Collections Analyst to join our Finance & Accounting team. This role handles a portfolio of customer accounts, driving timely collections and resolving payment issues in a fast-paced, remote/hybrid environment.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to collaborate across Billing, Sales, Customer Success, Revenue, and other Finance teams to support cash collection objectives and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in collections, accounts receivable or related finance function.
• Strong organizational skills for portfolio management and competing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail with accuracy and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to research discrepancies.
• Ability to identify payment risks and escalate appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts and drive collection of outstanding accounts receivable.
• Review aging reports and prioritize collection activity based on aging, balance, risk, and payment status.
• Follow up with customers regarding outstanding and past-due invoices.
• Obtain and document payment commitments and dates; follow up on missed commitments.
• Identify delays, disputes, high-risk accounts, and escalate concerns to the Senior Manager, Collections.
• Research and resolve invoice/payment discrepancies; reconcile accounts as needed.
• Respond to inquiries regarding invoices, balances, and payments.
• Maintain accurate collection notes and customer correspondence.
• Communicate professionally with customers about obligations and actions to bring accounts current.
• Build relationships with customers and internal partners; follow escalation policies.
• Assist with process improvements and ad hoc reporting for collections.
