Job summary

SunStrong Management is seeking a Collections Specialist to manage past due accounts. The role involves contacting customers by phone, email, or dialer, performing account research, and arranging payment plans to align with company policies.

Bilingual Spanish candidates are highly preferred. The position is remote with a CST schedule of 10am-7pm, Monday to Friday, and pays $16.00 per hour plus incentives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in collecting delinquent accounts.
• Three to five years’ experience in a customer service and/or call center setting.
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel, Office, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned past due inventory. Contact customers and analyze account information to determine action.
• Provide research on customer accounts to other work groups or customers as needed.
• Establish payment arrangements consistent with SunStrong policy to help customers resolve balances.
• Handle inbound customer calls and provide resolutions to prevent escalations.
• Request updates on outstanding cases, enter new cases, or comment on existing cases as needed.
• Perform account maintenance including accurate note taking and updating demographics.
• Demonstrate a strong customer service approach to reduce delinquencies while ensuring a positive experience.
• Perform other functions as assigned.
