Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Coding Supervisor to lead day-to-day coding for acute care or physician facilities. You will support the Coding Manager, coach staff, deliver educational content, and ensure AR and Discharged Not Billed goals are met.

The role requires 3 years coding in pro-fee or acute care, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of DRGs/APR-DRGs. It is a remote position with onsite travel as needed and offers incentives, certifications, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 3 years of coding experience in either pro-fee or acute care settings (inpatients, outpatients, ED).
• Leadership experience required.
• Anatomy & Physiology and Medical Terminology completed.

Responsibilities

• Staff, organize and direct coding activities within a facility under Coding Manager guidance.
• Coach staff and conduct performance evaluations; discipline as needed.
• Create and deliver educational materials related to coding.
• Monitor coding goals, workflow, productivity and quality; report to leadership.
• Perform routine audits and ensure compliance with federal/state rules and guidelines.
• Develop policies/procedures; ensure staff adherence.
• Serve as site resource for coding questions with medical staff and management.
• Prepare staff schedules/timecards; enforce PTO policies.
• Act as technical resource; resolve issues impeding coding team operations.
• Assign codes per AHA guidelines and payer requirements; assign modifiers and POA as needed.
• Assign DRGs reflecting documentation.
