Job summary

CVCH is seeking a Coding Supervisor to oversee daily coding operations across departments, ensuring accurate, compliant coding and timely reimbursement.

You will lead a team of Coders I and II, monitor metrics, provide training, and partner with Revenue Cycle and Compliance to address audit findings. This role offers telecommuting within Washington State with potential for remote arrangement based on experience; requires RHIT/CCS etc.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred.
• AAPC or AHIMA coding certification required (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA); CRC preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of medical coding experience, including 2 years in supervision/lead role.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and FQHC billing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee coding staff performance, productivity, and quality metrics.
• Lead internal/external audits to ensure documentation and billing compliance.
• Develop and deliver coding education for staff and providers.
• Coordinate with Compliance and Revenue Cycle to resolve audit findings.
• Support process improvements and coverage planning for coding operations.
