Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Coding Quality Educator to support clinician and coder training, develop education programs, and lead reviews to improve documentation and coding accuracy. This role collaborates with billing and clinical teams in a remote setting.

You will conduct audits, provide documentation to support coding reviews, and educate on best practices in medical reimbursement. A strong background in AHIMA/AAPC certifications and 5 years in medical billing/coding is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certifications required upon hire as listed in the posting.
• 5 years' experience in medical insurance reimbursement, medical billing, and coding related to charge review and RVUs.
• 5 years' experience in reviewing patient account information, insurance explanations of benefits, and financial records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinician/coder training and ongoing department education.
• Identify, develop and deliver clinician education related to coding and clinical documentation improvement opportunities.
• Conduct independent and collaborative clinician/coder reviews/audits and provide documentation to support coding review work and educate based on findings.
