Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Coding Quality Educator to support clinician and coder training and ongoing department education. The role also helps identify and deliver education on coding and documentation improvement opportunities, and may conduct reviews and provide documentation to support coding work.

We value experienced professionals with nationally recognized coding credentials and at least five years in medical insurance reimbursement, billing and chart/financial review.

Qualifications

• Professional coding certifications listed above are required at hire.
• Experience in medical insurance reimbursement and coding for RVU reviews at least 5 years.
• Experience reviewing patient accounts, EOBs, and financial records at least 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinician/coder training and department education.
• Identify, develop and deliver new clinician education on coding and documentation improvement.
• Conduct independent or collaborative reviews and provide documentation to support coding reviews and findings.
• Educate based on review findings to improve coding accuracy.
