Qualifications

• Certifications required at hire from AHIMA/once employed (see list).
• Minimum 5 years' experience in medical insurance reimbursement, billing, and coding activities.
• Experience reviewing patient account information, EOBs, and financial records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinician/coder training and ongoing department education.
• Develop and deliver education related to coding and clinical documentation improvement opportunities.
• Conduct independent and collaborative clinician/coder reviews/audits and provide documentation to support the coding review work.
• Educate based on findings to improve coding accuracy and documentation quality.
