Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Remote Coding Manager to oversee coders at one or more Medical Centers. The role serves as a liaison to facility HIM staff to resolve issues and ensure timely client service.

Responsibilities include training coders on site specifics, auditing 100% of new coder work pre-bill, developing site-specific procedures, and coordinating with the Account Executive and Assistant Director of Coding Services.

Qualifications

• Formal HIM education with national certification (RHIA/RHIT) and/or CCS or CPC certification.
• Minimum 5 years inpatient and outpatient hospital or profee experience.
• Minimum 3 years inpatient and outpatient hospital auditing experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee coders at medical centers and resolve HIM issues within 24 hours.
• Train new coders on site specifics and client IT systems.
• Audit 100% of new coder work on a pre-bill basis and report results.
• Develop site-specific coding procedures based on center policies.
• Coordinate with Account Executive and Assistant Director of Coding Services.
