Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Educator/Trainer to support PB Coding and Coding Integrity teams. You will present coding education to coders and clinicians, in-person when needed and via virtual sessions, and help develop tools, manuals and curricula across the revenue cycle.

Responsibilities include identifying educational needs, scheduling sessions, and delivering refresher programs while staying current with adult-learning principles. A remote, Monday–Friday schedule is offered.

Qualifications

• Proven coding experience in physician revenue cycle
• AHIMA/AAPC certifications or equivalent required
• Ability to deliver in-person and virtual education sessions

Responsibilities

• Educate coders and clinicians through in-person and virtual sessions.
• Identify educational needs and develop programs for coding education.
• Schedule and manage training using Learning Connection, ATMS, Skype or Teams.
• Develop web-based coding education programs and track progress.
• Create trainer materials and conduct train-the-trainer sessions.
• Keep up with adult learning trends and adjust offerings as needed.
