Job summary

CommonSpirit Health seeks a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee to support our coding teams nationwide. You will conduct internal audits, provide education on ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS, and Medicare rules, and ensure accurate, compliant documentation across the organization.

You will lead onboarding for new hires, develop ongoing training programs, monitor regulatory changes, and collaborate with leadership to plan short- and long-term improvements in professional fee coding practices.

Qualifications

• Mastery of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and regulatory guidelines for professional billing.
• Experience in PB coder audits, education, and training.
• Ability to onboard and educate staff on Risk Adjustment, HCCs, and MEAT criteria.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mastery of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and regulatory guidelines as a subject matter expert.
• Conduct systematic chart audits to identify documentation gaps and track trends.
• Lead onboarding for new hires and provide ongoing education.
• Develop and deploy specialized training programs to keep coding teams current on payer requirements and regulatory changes.
• Build and maintain relationships with coding teams to standardize practices and improve cross-department communication.
