Job summary

CommonSpirit is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator Professional Fee to apply ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT-4 coding systems to support the professional fee coding team and standardize practices across the organization.

You will conduct internal audits, deliver onboarding and ongoing training, monitor regulatory changes, and collaborate with leadership on strategic planning for compliant coding and accurate billing. Epic experience and Medicare rules knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of PB coder audits, education, and training.
• 5 years of experience coding professional fee records.
• CPC/CCS/CCS-P or RHIT/RHIA certifications listed (AAHP, AHIMA).
• Epic experience required or preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare billing rules and professional fee coding rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits and provide follow-up education for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to PB coding teams.
• Onboard and train new staff; develop ongoing educational programs.
• Lead in strategic planning with leadership to maintain compliant coding and billing practices.
• Maintain mastery of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and regulatory guidelines.
