Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Coding Auditor and Educator for Professional Fee coding. The role focuses on ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, CPT-4, and internal audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance across the organization.

The position includes onboarding new staff, developing ongoing education programs, and communicating updates on Medicare rules to PB coding teams. Strong analytical and project-management skills are essential, with a drive to standardize practices across departments.

Qualifications

• Two years of PB coder audits, education, and training experience.
• Five years of experience coding professional fee records.
• CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA certifications.
• Knowledge of Medicare billing rules and guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Epic software experience.
• Strong organizational, planning, scheduling and project management abilities.
• Excellent analytical ability to develop and analyze data to recommend solutions and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Audit coding for professional fee records and identify documentation gaps.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing education to staff on Risk Adjustment and MEAT criteria.
• Develop training programs to keep teams current with payer rules.
• Communicate regulatory updates to PB coding teams.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic coding and billing practices.
• Maintain standardization of coding practices across the organization.
