Intermountain Health is seeking a Coding Analyst I for SelectHealth—Murray to review claims and ensure accurate coding across professional, facility, and other code sets. This role supports ERISA compliance and interfaces with physicians and departments.

The position offers fully remote options with potential onsite interviews. Requires an Associate degree or 2 years of coding/health plan experience and strong communication. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree from an accredited institution. Education will be verified.
• Two years of work experience in coding, healthcare, or health plan environment.
• Demonstrated intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Aufgaben

• Reviewing claims (pre-payment) to monitor billing practices and ensure accurate coding and reimbursement based on contracts, payment methodologies and regulations.
• Ensures review decisions are in line with ERISA standards.
• Logging provider appeals and sending correspondence to providers on submitted appeals.
• Serving as a consultant to various other departments including physicians and facilities; engage and train providers as needed.
• Support higher level analysts and manage workload effectively.
• Maintain subject-matter expertise and educate providers and staff accordingly.
• Stay compliant with all coding regulations for all provider specialties and coding methodologies.
