Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Coding Analyst I for SelectHealth to review claims and monitor provider coding across professional, facility, drug, DME, and lab code sets. Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited institution. Education will be verified.
• Two years of work experience in coding, healthcare, or in a health plan environment.
• Demonstrated Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing claims (pre-payment) to monitor billing practices and ensure accurate coding and reimbursement based on contracts, payment methodologies and regulations.
• Ensures review decisions are in line with ERISA standards.
• Logging provider appeals and sending correspondence to providers on submitted appeals.
• Serving as a consultant to departments within Select Health and Intermountain including physicians and facilities.
• Supporting higher level analysts and effectively managing workload.
