Job summary

Ways2Well is seeking a Patient Support Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for patients, handling scheduling, questions, lab reviews, and lab ordering. The role blends medical assisting with patient communication, ensuring compassionate, efficient care in a fast-paced environment.

You will support patients through digital and phone channels, coordinate telehealth, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and escalate urgent concerns to clinical staff while upholding HIPAA and privacy

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
• 3 years of healthcare experience.
• Strong medical terminology and lab workflow knowledge.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with EHR systems, telehealth platforms, and Teams.
• Collaborative, flexible, and patient-focused.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide digital and phone-based patient support with empathy and accuracy.
• Guide patients through treatment plans, labs, and next steps.
• Review lab results and order lab work as directed.
• Communicate with patients to gather medical history and discuss results.
• Schedule telehealth appointments and lab visits; maintain HIPAA compliance.
