Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in systems, network, or cloud engineering.
• Expertise with virtual networking, compute, storage, security groups, and load balancers.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform; scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure; on‑call experience.
• Public Trust eligibility and U.S. citizenship for this remote federal IT position.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure architectures, including virtual networks, subnets, routing, and security boundaries.
• Configure and manage compute, storage, and networking services on major cloud platforms, ensuring secure, resilient environments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code templates and automation scripts for provisioning and deployments.
• Monitor and optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, and reliability; lead incident response.
• Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams to align designs with requirements.
• Define and maintain standards, runbooks, and change‑management processes.
• Evaluate new cloud services and automation tools with implementation plans.
• Provide technical guidance and informal leadership to engineers.
