Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in systems, network, or cloud engineering roles with hands‑on cloud design experience.
• Strong expertise with cloud infrastructure components including virtual networking, compute, storage, security groups, and load balancing.
• Experience building infrastructure‑as‑code and automation using Terraform or equivalent plus scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Proven ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust investigation and U.S. citizenship for this remote federal IT position.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure architectures including networks, subnets, routing, and security boundaries for highly available enterprise apps.
• Configure and manage compute, storage, and networking services on major cloud platforms with security and resilience.
• Develop and maintain IaC templates and automation to standardize provisioning and deployments.
• Monitor and optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, and reliability; lead incident response and root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with application, security, and operations teams to align designs with requirements and security controls.
• Define and maintain standards, runbooks, deployment patterns, and change‑management processes for cloud infra.
• Evaluate new cloud services and tools to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to engineers supporting cloud compute and network services.
