Job summary

Ad Hoc LLC is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based networking for federal civilian clients in a remote role.

You will work across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, managing VPCs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, routing, security, and monitoring. You’ll mentor junior engineers and participate in technical interviews, while coordinating with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of engineering experience.
• Expert-level knowledge in at least one technical area (frontend, backend, or infrastructure).

Responsibilities

• Own contributions to an application code base with accountability.
• Coordinate integration with adjacent systems and ecosystems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with owned systems and inform improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers in skills development.
• Communicate technical issues and developments with team and clients.
• Participate in technical interviews with new candidates.
• Propose and evaluate multiple approaches to problems.
• Lead small teams or projects when needed.
• Present design documents and diagrams to clients and engineers.
