Job summary

AMH is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with IT teams to deploy cloud-native solutions and automate deployments using infrastructure as code.

You will optimize performance, security, and cost, monitor systems, support migrations, document architectures, and mentor teammates as part of a high-impact technology group. The role offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, relative field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Minimum four (4) years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Software/Network Engineering, Computer and Information Science, or related field.
Advanced knowledge and experience documenting infrastructure and setting standards and procedures.
Advanced knowledge and experience with Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI), Cloud Strategy, Design, Architecture, and Migration.
Advanced knowledge and experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Advanced knowledge and experience with troubleshooting Line-of-Business applications, Incident, Problem and Change Management.
Exhibits excellent verbal, written, and executive presentation skills; collaborates effectively to facilitate progressive change; maintains a strong quality and results orientation; and implements process improvement changes with leadership direction.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services.
Deploy new applications to the cloud and migrate existing applications to modern cloud services.
Monitor the performance of cloud-based systems and optimize resources for cost-effectiveness and high availability.
Design, implement and support monitoring and observability solutions for cloud-based resources.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues and respond to outages as needed.
Support design and architecture of new solutions such as new applications, networking and systems or redesign to enhance current ones.
Develop and enforce cloud security policies and procedures to protect data and applications.
Document the architecture of the environment, train team members and create SOPs for IT teams.
