Job summary

Twilio is hiring for a Compute Infrastructure Engineer to evolve and maintain scalable cloud-native environments. You will work on VM orchestration, AWS ASGs for EC2, hardened base AMIs, and secure container images while leveraging automation and IaC best practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration with global teams, on-call duties, and applying performance monitoring and disaster recovery techniques to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in AWS Cloud infrastructure management (backend/infrastructure-focused).
• Strong ASG knowledge to design and support scalable cloud-native environments.
• Experience with hardened base AMIs and AL23.
• Proficiency in Java or Python and shell scripting.
• Ability to work independently with global teams and manage compute infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Tech Leaders and Engineers to solve distributed computing problems.
• Automate monitoring, performance planning, and disaster response.
• Participate in on-call rotations for business-critical infrastructure.
• Apply Infrastructure as Code standards to ensure high-quality implementations.
• Document designs, runbooks, and changes with clear records.
• Follow Agile practices to deliver value and support infrastructure components.
