GovCIO is hiring a Clinical Subject Matter Expert to serve as the clinical authority on a health IT team focused on Veteran community care. You will document day-to-day workflows, translate them into testable requirements, and validate functionality against real clinic workloads.

This role is fully remote within the United States. You will ensure compliance with VHA directives and SOPs, write build-ready artifacts, and support training and rollout activities across multiple functions.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience
• Registered Nurse with 5+ years of clinical healthcare experience
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in a United States state or territory
• Two+ years of VA community care referral coordination/consult management experience (within last 12 months)
• Daily use of VA referral management system (HSRM) and VistA/CPRS or Millennium/PowerChart at a Federal EHR site
• Knowledge of SEOCs, Consult Toolbox, and related processes
• Ability to write clearly for mixed audiences and work remotely during Eastern Time hours
• Clearance: ability to obtain VA Public Trust background investigation

• Translates clinical practice into build-ready artifacts for engineering
• Defines and executes clinical UAT using real-case scenarios

• Speaks for multiple SME groups to broaden requirements beyond a single view
• Supports staff training and field readiness
• Bridges clinical intent with data/analytics teams for accurate metrics
